The materials specified here form the basis for the selection of materials when creating blank types. The related templates will only be displayed if the correct material is chosen.
First, go to the "Settings" menu and select the "Blank types..." option.
Blank types
You can copy a blank type to adopt its basic settings. Then, only edit the "Geometry" and "Color"/"Transparency" sections. The assigned material serves as the basis for the templates available to you.

Geometries
If you cannot find a suitable blank type geometry in the library, you can create your own geometries. Again, it is easiest to copy an existing geometry and then edit it.
Geometries are subsequently linked to blank types.
Materials
When creating a new material, ensure that it is assigned to the corresponding material group. Templates primarily relate to material groups.
If you create a regrouped material, no templates will be suggested for selection.
